"Could it be possible that this is all. . .at random?" River suggested tentatively. It would be a jagged pill for the Doctor to swallow. He always loved finding reason and patterns in thing. To have everyone, especially so many people of his history, there altogether was a difficult thing to deal with, and to have it all be at random? It was like a cruel cosmic joke. They had to think of something larger than just themselves. Her mind went to work, focusing on different variables. They were all from different timelines, perhaps even universes and worlds. It was completely possible to have a parallel universe, so maybe all these worlds were beginning to converge?
The Doctor was rambling again, and she had to tune him out in order to follow her own train of thought. River went to the TARDIS console and began pushing buttons and pulling levers in order to pull up any information she could about the transplants. It was difficult, considering the TARDIS wasn't working at her full potential, but she made do. Looking over her shoulder, she bit down on her lower lip as she sorted through all the new information.
"What if this place, this Red Oak, is a point. A solid, constant point. And all our timelines in all the worlds are beginning to converge at that single point? Slowly of course. People begin popping out of their timestreams and appear hear at this fixed point. Could it be possible?" she murmured, speaking aloud to organizing her thoughts. All of a sudden, River felt like she was back in school working on her thesis again. "So many possibilities. . ."
