She should have expected the numbers to grow, but Buffy had honestly been a little hopeful that it would have just been the three. She pulled out her last hidden weapon on her, besides the stake for vampires, which was the mini crossbow she'd gotten from Oliver. She loved it, but the ammo supply was limited at the moment. She'd had it in case she ran into those bombs, but now was a good as a time as any to put it to use. She aimed and fired it, sending an arrow into one of the Mogadorians. Its aim true, the alien dusted with the killing shot. "Now you've got nine and I've got ten." May as well give the younger girl a bit of a leg up.
Buffy was not liking these odds one bit, even if she could take care of herself. As similar as they were to vampires, she was still new to the whole fighting aliens thing. But she sucked it up and was ready to do this. Leading them to the manor was just not an option. Putting her crossbow away as their foes grew closer, there was no time to reload, she gripped her sword and dove into the fray. She knocked the closest guy into a friend of his before crouching to leg sweep another that dared to get close enough to her. They were fast and when she was hit, she actually felt it, but they didn't seem to be nearly as bad as the demon from the night of her arrival. They were a hell of a lot more vulnerable as demonstrated by the fact one dusted when she drove her sword into his gut. No need for exploding chickens here. But her guard was not about to be let down. All it would take was one lucky shot and she'd just be another slayer down for the count. Well, one thing was for sure, she had been looking for a fight tonight and she had definitely found one.
