Whoever this guy Buffy was fighting, they were good. But not nearly good enough for her to want to roll over and die. She was the Slayer and she wasn't about to have her last stand involve some inked up sci-fi reject. A reject who apparently had an array of pointy teeth and her immediate thought was Vampire. Maybe not one of hers, but someone else's? But Buffy could also admit the guy was fast, because he managed to slip past her defenses and grab her from behind. Choosing not to panic, she heard the other girl shout and Buffy managed to shove her foe into the cemetery wall nearby. She heard him grunt and Buffy gave him a headbutt strong enough to force him to release her. Once free, she pulled out her sword and instinctively swung it upward just as her attacker made a go for her. Timing was everything and the predator in her couldn't help but feel satisfied when her sword cut through his arm, cutting it clean off right below the elbow. He let out a howl of pain and Buffy kicked him back into the stone wall hard enough to keep him dazed from impact and injury. It took her a second to remember she wasn't alone with this guy and she saw there was another reject attacking the girl. Not wanting to leave her helpless, Buffy pulled out a hunting knife from under her coat and tossed it toward the girl hoping she could use it, "Heads up!"
