"That's good, because I never did play well with the cheerleaders." Lois said. Mostly because she wasn't one. But in his case she'd make an exception, since he was worth it. Just hand her a set of pom poms and she would rah rah better than all of them. "Just try not to miss me in the crowd of all your adoring fangirls that you probably have in the universe."
She tried not to wince at the face he made. Feeling bad, she silently promised he was going to be rewarded big time for this. It was probably telling that she didn't exactly help herself to the waffles, so it only made his moments of 'suffering' all the more apparent. "You'd be surprised what could go wrong when it involves me." Lois wanted to believe his words, and she did, but the doubt was still looming overhead. "But you're right, I know you are. I mean-" she'd almost mentioned Ollie and her as an example for him, but it wasn't a good idea to talk about any exes when with someone you were interested in. "Sometimes my stubbornness can work against me, in case you haven't noticed." That was true. "But I'm not about to go running, because I want to see this dance through."
Lois was practically beaming in response. It may not have been the one she'd tried for, but that was just as good. "Yeah, dance lessons. But you'll have to forgive me a little when we start, I'm a little rusty. I haven't exactly had a regular dance partner in awhile. Dancing by yourself isn't as fun as people like to think." Yes, she was still putting some innuendos in there, even if they were for her benefit. She couldn't help herself.
