If there was one thing Sylar wasn't going to shy away from these days, it was how different he was. It was all he'd wanted in life, to be different and to be special. The world he was coming from was about to be inundated with that thanks to Claire's show for the news cameras, and he would've had to shy away from who and what he was because of it—because in both worlds he was a wanted man. Here? He didn't have to. Here he could actually start a new life and start it right, without hiding his differences.
There were just other things he would have to hide and hope the... darker aspects of his past could remain in the past. That was all he wanted here. so far, at least.
"Please, don't apologise. It was good to get the chance to meet you," Sylar began contently, glad to have gotten the chance to meet another who was also different. Apparently there were many more here than he could have imagined. Rachel, Peter, now Evie. Who else would soon be added to that list? "Trust me, I understand all too well the matter of being different," he added with a small smile as he turned to leave. "There are more here than you would think who also understand. Keep your eyes and ears open and you might just run into another sooner than you think."
And with that he took his leave to find Peter, to hopefully explain a few things and clear the air. As much as possible with such a young version of Peter, at least. Amazing how timelines could get so very skewed... this was far more Hiro's area of expertise than his own.
