He questioned whether it was something to stop driving and even give full attention to since it seemed to worry her. It wasn't that her tone made it particularly bothersome, but there was some sort of vibe in the air that didn't settle well when 'listen' came into play. Listen meant you did, especially when you had just been admitting to having a literal double and Red Oak, if anything, had already seemed particularly out of place with even being there. Anything was possible if they could just appear there with no viable means.
"It's fine." Peter did just that, nodding for a second before he realized that she may not have seen that particular gesture to go right on ahead. "What is it?"
He could, after all, put his worries aside when he knew there were people there to help Nathan, assuming his own timeline didn't completely collapse. Peter and Niki, on the other hand? The two of them were pulled from a different time without any of their same companions, so the next thing was to clue everyone in, put a little trust in each other, and maybe find a little bit of their own reality in a very unreal situation. It was really all he had right then and there, so he was more than willing to listen.
Potentially being ripped in half, although he wasn't quite aware of it that second, helped, too.
