It was odd to think that Peter was able to mimic not only her ability but the abilities of others as well. Though, unlike Niki, she doubted that Peter had the side effect of Jessica, her dead sister who surface from time to time whenever Niki was in danger. Without realizing it, Niki’s eyes darted to the car window, her reflection being not her own but of Jessica’s, her alter ego’s face nothing but amusement. She ignored her, her attention falling back on Peter as he hotwired the car with ease.
“I guess you don’t need a power for that,” she replied, her voice giving away just how impressed she was in Peter’s ability to start a car without a key. While it should have made Niki wondered where he learned his methods she put it aside for now, deciding that she would save that conversation for a less hectic time.
Shifting slightly, Niki made her way around the car until she was at the passenger’s side. She waited for Peter to unlock it before opening the door, settling down in her seat with ease. Niki was glad to be off her feet, the exhausted sigh that fell from her lips letting Peter know just how physically drained she was.
