"It really doesn't," he replied, "but I tried to teleport out of here, back to New York, and just ended up right where I was." That was probably a surprise to her although super powers in itself wasn't, pretty sure the range of his acquired powers was something foreign to her. It wasn't like he made it a point to mention everything to everyone, and if she had been transplanted from Kirby Plaza, she was sure to only know his last name.
"He'll be fine. There's a police officer at Kirby Plaza, Matt Parkman. He'll get him an ambulance and to a hospital." Peter tried to reassure her, but there was no real way of doing it short of transporting her back and, well, that wasn't an option.
"And your son, too. They'll be fine." Even with the pending explosion, that was likely taken care of by a well and not-so-shot Nathan. That or Claire actually had shot him, and the city took a wild turn for the worse. There was likely no convincing her though when she couldn't see it for herself, leading Peter to purse his lips in frustration and cross his arms over his chest as he considered the options
"We could always try to drive?" Despite the message from some so-called Inter-Dimensional Police Department, Peter wasn't about to believe that it wasn't possible to get back to New York when the only option he had tried was the fastest and less cost-draining method available to him.
