None of it did ring a bell, aside from the last name “Petrelli”, which sent an arrow of guilt through Niki’s gut. She remembered Nathan and Jessica, the violent personality that resided inside of Niki, did as well. It caused a reaction out of her that she didn’t need, remembering how Nathan tossed her aside when she needed his help in finding her son. A part of her hated him for that and Jessica despised him because of how badly he had treated Niki. If it weren’t for her, Jessica would have succeeded in killing Nathan Petrelli for Linderman.
“Petrelli – do you know a Nathan? Are you related to him?” Niki wasn’t going to reveal how she knew Nathan, remembering that Nathan had a wife and family. The adultery that occurred in Las Vegas was something long forgotten about but Niki wasn’t about to casually reveal the details of her meeting with Nathan. When the man mentioned Kirby Plaza Niki’s eyes lit up as Niki had just been there.
“Yes, I do. I was just at the Kirby Plaza building – I was there just a moment ago, actually. I was looking for my son and then…I don’t know what happened. I don’t know how I got here.” Niki looked around helplessly, realizing that talking about her situation wasn’t exactly helping her deal with it any better.
