This wasn't the first time he had run into Niki Sanders, and he had the power to prove it, but he could thankfully say that it wasn't under the same circumstances. Just as confused and surely scared as he may have been at Kirby Plaza when he was a pending explosion and facing his worst enemy at the time, Niki didn't seem too well on her feet and it seemed prime time to return the favor. His own settling into Red Oak, while still not without question of why the small town in the first place, had come easily enough, and with a place to stay of his own, Peter knew it easy to play hero and extend a helping hand.
Just like he had always wanted.
"Niki!" He called out from where he had been but a few feet away upon exit from a nearby tavern where he had taken up a small job to pay for the space he had been renting out. It seemed fitting enough with his stint with Caitlin and Ricky in Cork, and it wasn't like he had much of a problem playing barback or bussing tables if it meant making sure he didn't own anyone, not even Abigail Winters, for their hospitality. He hurried over considering the confusion she seemed to be in and the lean on a nearby post, cautious to reach out just in case it gave her more a scare than comfort.
Craning his head slighttly to focus on her features amiss strands of blonde hair, concerned eyes peered right at her, as if to question without vocalizing it whether or not she was alright. Words seemed to escape him as his own thoughts and questions took over his headspace: For one, how did she get here and were was her family? For two, how long had it been since Kirby Plaza? Months, maybe? Those questions could wait in lieu of the more overbearing one.
