"Electricity," he continued to explain with simple answers. Cloud wasn't much for details. They just confused everything. Answering a question with an easy and concise answer was much better than a speech with convoluted explanations. He himself had been on the receiving end of both ideas, "It's not sorcery. It's science." At least it wasn't the magic Cloud knew. He knew how to use lightning, but only if he had the materia equipped and the magic was used in self-defense, not energizing a building, "I take it you don't have much experience with electricity." His sentence may be obvious, but it never hurt to be sure.
"I'm just a nobody, but you can call me Cloud," he found himself answering the last question first before continuing, "What's strange is people finding themselves from their own world into this one. No one really knows what's going on, but I'll warn you this now, the world you're used to isn't going to be out there, so don't expect it." There were a million and one ways to the same route, but he always took the blunt way of looking at things. No need to sugar coat it. This guy was going to have to accept what he learned to accept. He wasn't home and he might not be going home any time soon. It was an assumption on his part this guy wouldn't know where he was, but considering he wasn't the only one that just appeared here, and he seemed so terrified of practically everything Cloud found normal, he couldn't help but assume his assessment was right. But even he could be surprised.
