The magic he wielded was extraordinary and Inriia found herself almost enthralled by the green energy. Oh, she coveted it dearly now. But her own envy was her downfall and rather than escape, she found herself on the receiving end of his vibrational waves because she was so caught up in watching his magic. Her goddess would be furious. She wasn't exactly sure what he'd done, but it had been enough to break her concentration as well as disrupt her spell. She stumbled back, knowing she was now visible to his sight and she instinctively lashed out by throwing a ball of red faerie fire toward him. The 'fireball' would cause no damage as it was harmless enough that it gave no heat but she was angry and frustrated. How could she fight to the best of her ability without her belongings?
The fury and rage she could imagine from Shar for her weakness and from Lolth for failing to be Drow enough to defeat a rivvil mage with ease made her own anger rise. She would not fall easily if she was to fall at all. "Darkness take you!" Inriia cursed and with another incantation arcs of lightning flew from her fingertips, aimed straight at him. She had no idea how strong his defenses were, but she believed he'd withstand her barrage of lightning. She was a Shadow Adept and her evocation spells weren't nearly as strong as those fueled by her goddess. If only she were near the dead and had the proper components.. then she could show him what a necromancer of her power could truly do. Unfortunately, her illusions and shadow magic were her true strengths. She did not believe for one second any of her lesser illusions would do much for her in the long run, but maybe she could wear down his defenses...
