"Uh, thanks," said Number One slowly. It was a unique compliment he gave her. People didn't usually get to choose their own names, so the thanks went to the parents. In this case, credit was due to her. She got to name herself. "It's, uh, it's short for Evangeline." She tried to sound cheerily natural about the fact. Evangeline Abernethy was only one of a dozen aliases she's had to take on since she came to this planet and went into mobile hiding. This was merely the most recent one.
From the way he was talking about MTV and Facebook, it seemed like he was up to date on modern times, contrary to the way he was dressed. He didn't seem all there upstairs, as her peers liked to call it, but he still wasn't giving off particularly sketchy vibes. "I guess I'll call you Fizban, then."
Number One was not well-versed in human comic books, but she did know a decent amount about the story of Superman. In a lot of ways, he and Number One had a lot in common. Both powerful aliens who came to Earth at a young age. Both have to live an alternate life to hide the truth about themselves. Both meant to fight for the greater good. His stronghold was a place named Metropolis, too. She wasn't sure if that city was supposed to be in Delaware, but if Delaware where she was now, it put her a little more at ease. She was back in the States somehow and that beat being completely lost. "So what happened here? It looks so empty."
[OOC: I hope I'm getting this right. I looked through the mod journal and I don't think I saw anywhere that it said Superman was not canon-puncturable? If that's not the case, please let me know and I will fix my tag.]
