While she knew Jake had gotten her the sword for show and to set it on fire for fun, it still had an edge to it. It would, hopefully, at least deter a dinosaur and buy them time if they had to run for it. She was hoping it didn't come to that, but there were an awful damn lot of dinosaurs around. She wasn't that worried about herself; she had fire to protect her. But it hardly seemed fair to drag out someone who had no known powers to a possibly dangerous situation. Sword in hand, April made her way from her cabin, along the back of the Keep, between a pair of cabins, all the way to Eli and Doug's. It was raining, and she was soaked when she got there, but so what? It was warm, and she was tired of spending every week inside. The last week she'd really been out seemed like ages ago, even if it really only had been a few weeks. She wasn't a person content indoors; she liked to stretch her legs. And wings. Once she arrived, a little after she'd intended, she rapped on Eli and Doug's door with the butt of her sword, laughing a little because ... well, it struck her funny. While she waited, she looked around curiously through the rain, wondering if it was going to be too much of a damper to her fire. She didn't think so though. She could create fire just fine, and keep it coming regardless of rain. Flaring out her wings, she laughed a little as she flicked the worst of the rain off the feathers, even if they were just going to get soaked again. She was accustomed to the weight of wet wings on her back. |
