Alex paced back in forth in her room alternating between taking the deep breaths that Jaime recommended and staring at the new screens over the window. She didn't know what the screens were there for and she didn't like the change. Because of this she was keeping her window tightly shut. She stared out the window for a minute watching a couple of dinosaurs run past, her breath caught as she watched them. She didn't know how the producers were able to create these creatures, but they were rather breath taking, though also terrifying.
She was serious about spending the week in the cabin, but in order to do that she was going to need to get food from the keep. She had waited until night time to venture out, hoping that there would be less dinosaur activity. Steeling herself against what she might come across she quickly left the cabin and headed up to the keep. She managed to get there without any major incidents. Though she did yelp a little when a small dinosaur ran over her foot. After that she ran the rest of the way to the keep. Once there, she closed the door behind her, making sure it was secure. She leaned against the door for a few minutes taking deep breaths around the burning in her lungs.
Pushing away from the door she made her way to the kitchen. She started opening the cabinets looking for food she could make in the cabin. She began making a small pile on the counter, then looked for something she could use to carry them. At one point she paused looking around tensely. She rubbed her arms briskly, not sure what she was feeling. There was a tingle up her spine, like someone was watching her and she spun around in a small circle looking for whoever it was. Alex didn't see anybody, but that didn't stop the hyper alert feeling rushing through her body. She started feeling angry, almost like the rush of adrenaline she had felt during that last fight with Charlie. She clutched her hands around her arms, nails digging into her skin as she tried to calm her racing heart.
