Linda made her way straight to the pool. Water seemed like a good way to relax some tension from the nightmares plaguing her, but she didn't want to take an endless shower. She just wanted to reflect on everything that decided to haunt her tonight, and retake control. As soon as she arrived from the pool, she headed straight to the deep end. Seemed more her way to do that. She kicked her shoes off, and since she dared to trail without socks, she went straight to edge of the pool, sat down, and slid in her feet. Once the water was about mid-calf, she gave a sigh and swished the water around with her feet. She kept focusing on the water, forcing herself to regain control of herself.
What triggered the loss of control this time? She had mostly stuck to herself again, and she needed to stop doing that. It was time to woman up and meet people and she planned to do just that. Maybe the loneliness was the problem? She wondered as she stared deep into the water, and the memories seem to beat at her. This one was much further back, back from her young and dumb days, before she was all too callus, cold, and calculating. "You know, sometimes? All a person wants is to feel!" She said and splashed at the water again, slightly irritated that the harsh words escaped before she had filtered them. She was still mindful of the cameras, and that she didn't want to share too much of herself. It was much more fun to learn about others. She needed to get out of her shell .....
