Jake was not a fan. He wasn't a fan of the heat. He wasn't a fan of paralyzing spiders. He wasn't a fan of acidic water. He wasn't keen on most of this week, and he was anxiously awaiting Sunday. It could always be worse, he knew that, but he could hope for something cooler. If nothing else, it stood to reason the bugs and shit would probably be gone. Since the salve they had handed out had been designated as okay by the Guinea pigs who'd tried it, he applied it to the spider bite. It helped with the itch and the swelling and the residual muscle aches. He still wasn't feeling fantastic though, and he figured a quiet night in the Keep would be all he was up for. Maybe some movies, or games if no one was on the TV. Or watching whatever was on if someone was there. Maybe he'd chill (haha) in the freezer for a little while to see if that helped. Or find someone to bitch to. He thought about swinging by Jaime and Mike's place, but he wasn't sure he was the greatest company just then. He still felt a little out of it. A little slow on the uptake. So something that didn't require a lot of brainpower was the best way to go. After a quick dinner and a fifteen minute chill out in the freezer, Jake spent a little time watching whatever was on the TV before wandering the Keep restlessly. He eventually moved to the pool table and decided that didn't take too much brain power. He also realized a little he could use his power pretty easily to cheat at pool, and that made him grin. While he didn't plan on doing it during an actual game, it might be kind of fun to fuck with someone equally interested in fooling around with the pool table. Jake glanced around to see if there were any potential victims around before he returned his attention to the table. Maybe he'd practice himself first and find the most subtle ways to screw up things before he invited an audience. Of course, if someone happened to wander over, he'd take advantage of that to see how he did with someone who didn't know what he was up to. |
