Bored Now
Characters: Aiden and Jane
When: Tuesday, 11 a.m.
Location: the jungle, not far from his cabin
Warnings/Rating: None anticipated
Summary: Someone's a bit stir-crazy
Status: Closed, incomplete.
Aiden was cranky, already a bit tired of bananas and having a serious craving for an actual cooked meal. He was also bored and stir-crazy, which may have been why he was outside-- despite the intermittent thunderstorms-- changing himself into random animals. Yeah, it made his body sore, but he was feeling just perverse enough to want something else to complain about. So he figured he'd knock himself out changing into things and then maybe he could sleep for a while. Another reason for his crankiness was that he hadn't slept well the past couple of nights.
He'd given serious consideration to Jaime's suggestion about changing into a bird to fly over the wall, but nothing birdlike had materialized despite his efforts. Not even large birds of prey. That made him think there was something to his theory that he couldn't become anything too small. It made sense in a way, given that he was about 170 pounds. All that matter had to go somewhere, right?
Aiden was half past give a fuck about anything at the moment, in one of his reckless moods, and he didn't care if he got rained on or if someone happened along and saw him pre or post shift, since he was completely naked. There was a pair of shorts nearby that he could pull on, but since he was actively shifting, he wasn't concerned about it. "What would be cool in the jungle?" he murmured to himself after he'd changed back from a stint as a tiger. Yeah, that wouldn't be great if someone found him after the whole lion thing.
Oh, hey, he had just the thing. A few moments of concentration later, he shifted into a giraffe. A reasonably small one, maybe adolescent, but damn, he could see really far when he was this tall.
