Yes! Yes. A solid challenge to ease the aching withdrawal she faced. If he really was suffering from a lack of alcohol, Min could relate in a way she would never readily admit.
Newbies were the best. She didn't know how many people knew about the ability she wanted to keep quiet, but it was guaranteed this particular new guy--whose name she forgot to ask for--had no idea what he was getting into. Unless he was an Olympic level runner, which Min doubted, he wouldn't stand a chance. She didn't know her exact speed but it had to be high, probably nearing 30 miles per hour at this point.
Min was jittery with excitement, downright giddy that finally, finally, someone was going to fall for that trap. It would only work once, but that's all she needed now that there was a plan for makeshift cards thanks to Madi. There wouldn't be an unfair advantage there but it was still better than she'd had since arriving at the dome. Her only regret was that this race wasn't for higher stakes since it was her trump card.
Dressed in running gear and her silky black hair tied into a high ponytail, Min waited just outside the house for her challenger to arrive. There was a confident smirk on her face she just couldn't hide. This was going to be a delicious victory. There was no way it wouldn't be. It wasn't the tortoise and the hare; she wasn't going to take a break and give him a chance. Arms crossed and foot tapping, she waited merrily for Ben.
