"Right now," she replied. Other weeks .. other weeks hadn't they wanted more? Needed more? Right now though ... she was tired of sleeping with one eye open. Figuratively, anyway. It felt like everyone here wanted to do her in, and it was tiresome dodging everyone when the forest sported just as many hazards as the internal circle did. Her brow briefly furrowed before she shook it off.
April laughed softly to Linda's speculation. "We're ... too evenly matched. I think if he tried he could get me. Freeze me." She frowned. Was Linda trying to bait her into attacking Jake? Why not? Get someone else to do her dirty work for her.
She grimaced slightly before she closed her fingers around the fireball to extinguish it. She could pull it up in a snap again if she wanted to. If Linda moved against her. She wouldn't even have to think too hard about it. It was probably better not to warn her, anyway.
Still, with Linda in the kitchen, April wasn't inclined to approach. So she guessed she'd wait for the other woman to get her food and go, like she'd said. Then April herself would do the same.
