When: Friday mid morning
Location: The Keep
Warnings/Rating: NA
Summary: Rude Awakening
Status: Ongoing
Even though Darius was aware of what he agreed to, or at least mostly aware, he still hadn’t expected everything to be so secretive. When he woke up that morning and saw he was no longer in his hotel room but instead in a completely different place he didn’t know what to think. In fact, he had himself a bit of a panic before he was able to reel it in and realize that he somehow must have been transported to the dome. Checking out the state of what was to be his home for the next 365 days he wasn’t exactly mad. For a cabin it was just about as modern as it could get and actually had a very homey feel to it. Even though it still wasn’t exactly as lavish as he was used to, it could have been a lot worse. Once the initial tour of his cabin was over, Darius found his suitcase and unpacked it, glad to see they had let him keep everything in it. Now he wished he had brought more, but apparently there was some sort of system in place for that, or at least that was what he thought he had read. After getting his things put away, he went about getting dressed, throwing on a pair of red sweats and a white tank top. Slipping on his running shoes he figured he would head out to get his morning run in and finish familiarizing himself with his new surroundings. If he was going to be calling this place home for a while then he needed to get to know it a little better. However, as soon as he took that first step outside of his door he began to regret his decision immediately. He had never seen anything even remotely close to what his eyes were now looking at anyplace but in movies and even then it didn’t look half as convincing as this did. Cautiously stepping off his patio he stood in the colorful grass and just stared at it. Once he was able to tear his eyes away he looked around and saw the dark, brooding forest behind the cabins and was struck by the contrast. Oddly enough when looking at the whole picture, more and more it started to look like it was the cabins and Keep that were sticking out more than the scenery. It all came together as being something fantastical while the buildings just looked so plain. Even though he was still pretty unnerved by what he was looking at, Darius began to jog along the line of cabins, keeping a decent distance between him and the forest. He didn’t know what was going on in there but he could see that it looked awfully dark for it being this early in the morning. He had jogged about half way around the cabins when it began to rain. He started at first to just power through it but as it came down heavier he decided against it and headed toward the big main building in the middle. Walking inside Darius was surprised at just how big it was and what all was inside of it. This place just kept impressing him, reassuring him that he had made the right decision joining the cast. Taking a small tour of the place he started with the kitchen as he made a round, checking everything out as he figured this was probably going to be a place where he would be spending a lot of his time. Once he saw the gym it was confirmed, that this was going to be his little sanctuary |
