Dahlia had never really watched a movie with anyone. Sin had mentioned watching one but they hadn’t. And at home she had tried watching a few but mostly they just became background noise to other things. Usually painting or some sort of other craft like project she was working on. It had always been difficult for her to keep focused enough to actually watch a movie. She’d tried to go the theater once, with a guy, and had ended up just leaving half way through. He hadn’t appreciated it much but Dahlia hadn’t cared.
She’d tried to watch a few in the dome too but she always ended up wandering away or talking before it was over.
Tonight she was doing better. Maybe she’d just never tried a loud movie before.
When Jake’s arm went around her Dahlia, briefly, stilled. Touch was still an oddity for her. Madi had been touchy which had been very strange to Dahlia but…nice too. Then she left and Dahlia had become strange about touch again. And then…Aiden further confused it for her.
For a moment she wondered if she was supposed to do something. Or say something. She debated shying away just because a part of her didn’t want to.
It all started to make her head hurt…
She could have moved away. She could have shifted back to the other side to keep herself secluded in some way.
There were questions. And she didn’t really know what was the better, or the right.
Instead of letting her thoughts swirl and go into the overdrive that they so commonly did; Dahlia just gave into the initial thought she’d had. The very first reaction that had formed before her thoughts tried to confuse everything up.
She curled into him. Squirming around until she was comfortable; which apparently was an arm thrown over his chest and her legs curled under her. “I think I like loud movies.”
