He nodded his agreement and he moved to his laptop after surrendering her bag back to her, flipping through his movie selection until he found something he thought was suitable. Something with an easy to follow plot and lots of special effects and explosions. Flicking it to the TV, he moved to settle with her and Max on the couch.
It was nice. Maybe a little nicer than it should have felt in light of everything else, but it was what it was. He wasn't going to argue it or fight it, whatever it was or wasn't. He was just going to let it ride and see where things wound up. It seemed ... easier that way.
"It's no problem," he assured her softly. "I'm sure you'd do the same for me," he pointed out, glancing to her briefly before turning his attention to the TV. Not that he needed to follow the plot, but it was what they were doing, right? Watching a movie.
