Dahlia was trying to not think about Sin. In a way that made her feel bad; Sin was her friend and she didn't want to forget about her or..stop worrying, because she was worried, but at the same time she didn't want her head loud again tonight. Coming back to the cabin made trying to put it out of mind; difficult. Immediately she was faced with how...empty the cabin felt.
And would keep feeling...
She tried to push it aside and focus on gathering things up. If she got that done then she could retreat away from the cabin for a while...
Emerging back into the living room Dahlia crouched down; grabbing up one of Max's toys to shove into her bag too. "You can come over here anytime you don't want to be alone." Dahlia blurted out before she fully realized what she was saying. Normally she wouldn't. It was...risky for her to make that offer to most since sometimes...sometimes she just had bad days she didn't want others to see or want to explain. But...Jake had seen those now.
She glanced away; a little embarrassed as she grabbed up the squirming Max and shuffled to her feet.
“I’d…never lived with someone before this.” She spoke after a moment, shifting Max to her other arm. “I mean there was my parents but once I hit my teens I rarely stayed in the house anymore.” She’d made space for herself in the garage and almost always was there. She’d been..angry at having to share space initially but after it had grown on her and now…it was back to just her and her head.
Shaking her head to the thoughts Dahlia glanced back at Jake; noting that he’d grabbed the few things the kitchen had to offer. It wasn’t much, mostly a couple bags of mixed nuts and some crackers. But at least there had been some leftover cookies from baking with Jaime.
A quick look around the cabin; Dahlia grabbed a few things for the cat but couldn’t think of anything else. “I think that’s it…”
