He laughed softly. "Right," he agreed. "Plenty of that going on around here." Well, not so much this week, but there'd been prior weeks when not everything was as it seemed. But for all that, he thought she was handling everything well enough. At least for now, but it could just be a lull in the stormy sea of emotions. His expression shifted briefly into something grimmer, darker, but it passed. He'd think about it, deal with it later. It did remind him to remember to send Jaime a note before he went to bed for the morning, so she'd know and could play messenger. Or however she wanted to handle it.
"Yeah, sure," he replied, his brow furrowing briefly. Whether it was a need for company or a need to not be in her cabin, he didn't know. Or much care. If she wanted to give it a shot in here, it was fine by him. He wouldn't mind the company, after all. He was kind of surprised to hear it had been so long, and he wondered if it was distraction. Stress. This place, or something else.
"Did you want to try tonight? I could walk you to your cabin, you could get your things ... and ... we'd come back. Have a sleepover," he added with a slight grin, a little sad he didn't have any popcorn to make a night of it. He also doubted they'd be lucky enough to find a third to pop them into the Keep, but he guessed it didn't really matter in the end. She might not even want to go out tonight anyway. "We could get your kitten," he added. He assumed the kitten was flying solo in the cabin, with Sin gone.
