"The pants were long..." Dahlia explained; but he didn't seem to mind that she'd torn them up a little. Maybe she'd use them when she painted so that she wouldn't ruin good clothes. Except...that made her think of her painting episode earlier and that little smile turned to a faint frown. Would she ever paint again? Maybe it was just...something else that was gone. She...she hoped that wasn't the case. Painting had always been her one thing that was hers. Something she could lose herself to. Something she could actually hold some sort of pride in herself for.
She didn't want to lose that....
Dahlia padded through the room dragging the blanket behind her and eventually settled herself on the couch; drawing her knees up and tugging the blanket sort of over her but mostly not. She liked the slight chill in the room. Dahlia always preferred it colder though. She liked the excuse to curl up in a pile of blankets and hide away from sight for awhile.
For a moment she was quiet; resting her chin atop her knees "I keep trying to talk things out." she finally responded with that subtle weary sigh of hers. "But I don't think I'm saying things right. Or maybe some things just don't make sense." she had talked some things out with Jake, and with Jaime, but it hadn't made her head any less confused. Everything was still a jumble. "Maybe some things just can't be put into words well."
And now there was Sin to add to the jumble. To the confusion.
She hoped she was okay...
Maybe she'd come back...
She couldn't understand the dome. Or people. Or her own head. But what she did know, or could at least admit right now was... "Maybe I'm always going to be a mess. But..it is quieter here." and maybe that didn't seem like much but to Dahlia it was. She didn't know why it was. She didn't know if it was Jake or the cold or...something else. But it made her not want to leave.
