Keep in the Afternoon

April could think of several worse scenarios. With the wall, she hadn't been able to help out at all. At least with this, she could assist. Besides that, it could be a blizzard or more water than the week before, or lava. While April wasn't honestly sure they ever would do something like that, she wasn't sure they wouldn't, either. After everything she'd seen here already, April was putting exactly nothing past them. She thought, though maybe it was simply the nature of the situation, that it seemed quiet around here. She wondered if they were in for a following of Otis' footsteps, and if that was the case April couldn't say she blamed any of them. There was an intensity about things now there hadn't been in the first few weeks. And the new people ... they hadn't had a gentle breaking in phase like she and the early arrivals had had. After waiting for Desirae to show up, the three of them had opened up the door. It was nice that there were so many people willing to help out, though she was a little sad Jaime couldn't assist in the day to day stuff. She knew Jaime liked to help. But like the brunette had pointed out ... what was she supposed to do, heal a panel? With her wings tucked against her back, April had ducked into the dome and from there into the Keep. She really did have plans to make food -- maybe a big thing of spaghetti or mac 'n' cheese so everyone could have some quick-grab leftovers -- but she was also giving some consideration to just hanging out in here. It was more likely to be a social place, and if Eli hung out with her too, they'd be inside to let in anyone who wanted to come in after the door closed. Moving to begin a search through the cabinets, she glanced over to Eli. "Can you see what we have for sauces and stuff like that in the pantry?" |
