Characters: Chrissie and Linda
When: Tuesday afternoon around 1
Location: Cabin 8
Warnings/Rating: Tba as needed
Summary: Chrissie drops off Binx for Linda’s visitation and does some catching-up chatting
Status: Closed, Ongoing
When Binx had been found, Chrissie had contacted Linda and told her that they could do a joint custody arrangement, though she had called first dibs on the little furball because she’d been extremely worried about the cat’s well-being even though he seemed fine when he was found. Okay, and maybe part of it was just the plain and simple fact that she had missed him because Linda clearly would have been able to take care of him just as well as Chrissie could herself. Even though the other had claimed to hate cats in the beginning it seemed she had also taken a liking to the little guy. She was more than willing to sacrifice her time with Binx for Linda, especially since this was probably a really big personal step for her. She had debated exactly how much of Binx’s stuff she should bring. Since there was another cat in the cabin she assumed it would be fine if they both shared the same litter box and food bowls, although if it got to be an issue all Linda would have to do is say the word and she’d drag everything else over to her. Hopefully, if that was necessary, that would happen before the water did rise like everyone expected. And she couldn’t blame them because she was of the same mind-set. Things were going to be much more difficult if she had to swim by the jellyfish she almost stepped on, and apologized to even though she would have come out of it much worse than it, on her way over to Linda’s cabin. Plus there was the added factor that even more could be waiting for them later in the week. She’d seen a few sea turtles so far but none of them looked big enough to be able to support a person comfortably so trying to use one or two of them to transport her and Otis if the water did end up extremely deep was going to be out of the question. By the time she reached Linda’s door, she still didn’t have a clear cut idea for what steps she could take later in the week if she needed to. For now she had to push the worried look off of her face and replace it with a smile as she knocked on the door, Binx cradled in her arms and a few of his toys in each of her pockets of her shorts for good measure. |
