Carlos frowned at the idea of anyone having to 'belong' to someone in that way.
"Rotti and you-he wasn't..." there was no delicate way to ask that question, but he couldn't help but worry about hwo possessive Rotti seemed to be.
His expression and the question were gentle, but there was the faintest undercurrent of ferocity bubbling below the surface. Carlos didn't like it when people were taken advantage of. He especially took exception to the idea of people he cared about being used and abused. It wasn't as though he could do anything to Rotti, since the man wasn't here, but that didn't stop his gut from twisting in anger and malice toward the man who seemed to think that people were his possessions.
