She had been day dreaming a little, chin settled against a palm, elbow on the table, eyes blank and distant and yet so full. She almost hadn't heard the shift of the bean bag, as someone settled into it, mind wandering around in the graveyard that she had taken to visiting day after day. It was the voice, the all too familiar voice of her friend Carlos that dragged her mind out of its wandering state, and thrust it back into reality. She wasn't expecting to see him in this place, but she was almost so overwhelmed by the sight of him, her actions got the better of her and before she could stop herself she had shifted towards her friend, throwing her arms around him. "Oh Carlos!" She breathed, arms wound around his neck, before realizing she was probably closer to him than he wanted her to be. She pulled back and regained control of herself, cheeks flushed with color.
"Oh I'm doing well, thank you. I've been keeping to my apartment lately, I've been hearing tales of creatures roaming around and I figured it was best to just stay inside." She explained, settling back into her seat, "What about you? You seem different." She said, and he did somehow, yet she was unable to place it. Maybe it was in his tone of voice, or simply in his presence, but there was definitely something different about him.
