Mag was blessed with patience, but it was very cold and though her heart was warm, the snow would get to her eventually and she hoped that the dog would come around soon. She couldn't bear to leave it out here on its own, but it was a creature that had to make up its own mind and nobody could make it do something that it wasn't comfortable with. Or at least they couldn't in her opinion.
Finally the canine started to get close, within arms reach of her, and she smiled, brushing her fingers over one of his ears. "What a good dog. Would you like to come with me? I can give you some food and a warm place to sleep. At least until we find where you came from. Surely you have a home and someone that misses you." She said to it, offering its head a small pat.
Slowly, she stood and looked down at the animal, "Come on, this way." She breathed, before turning, moving slowly so the dog would get the idea that she was leaving this area, heading in a different direction. She looked over her shoulder, hoping the dog would follow. She couldn't make it come, but she hoped that it would. She had an idea that they could both use the companionship, if only for the walk home.
