She wasn't aware of anything in her surroundings, caught up in the moment as her eyes moved from the scrap of old picture, to the lump on the ground, and back again. The corners of her lips curled upwards slightly, into a small smile, as she moved her hand and pushed the scrap of photograph back into one of the pockets of her black jacket. Her breath was like a fog, and with each one a series of steam left her, but she didn't notice that either. She stepped forwards, slowly, trying to preserve the peace and serenity of the graveyard, moving closer to the bump in the ground.
"Oh Rosie. If only you could see Maurice today...." Mag breathed, kneeling down to the bump, tilting her head to the side just slightly. Her eyes swirled, and there was a small, three-deminsional image of Maurice, and he was talking about his late wife with so much love and affection. She played this clip, as if the woman could see, the image fading after a few moments. "You would be so proud of him, I imagine." She said softly, extending a hand out, touching the cold, snow covered Earth. "You are all we talk about most days, and if he were able to visit you, I would've brought him. He makes it alright to the cafe, but not much further than that." Mag explained, as if she owed one to the dead woman.
She sat there in the kneeling position for a moment, before pulling her hand back from the Earth, fingers red from the cold, before moving to stand, lingering for a moment. "I'll see you later, dear." Mag said softly, before turning slowly away from the grave, holding her head up, shoulders back as she stood there.
That was when she noticed what seemed to be an animal not too far away, what seemed to be a dog of some sort. The only other animal she had seen had been Mouse, and she wasn't aware there were actually any animals in this city besides him. She obviously had been wrong. There was something about this dog, however, that seemed strange, but she didn't think much of it. "What a nice dog." She said softly, taking a moment to record the animal in her mind, eyes spinning.
