Murphy knew that she was off-limits to Thomas. And even if he somehow forgot that, she knew that she was protected. She was thankful for that, particularly given that Lara was here. She had reasonable trust that Thomas wouldn't someday start seeing her as food, but it was a grudging trust. As far as she was concerned, the more protection in place the better.
Any thoughts of Thomas's teasing flew straight out of her head at that question. In the time that she'd known Harry, he had been both unlucky in love and more than a little clueless when it came to women.
You didn't simply ask for something like that. And not because it was a matter of convenience.
She gave Harry a look and then fished her keys out and tossed them to Thomas.
"It's apartment 407. Why don't you go clean up while we figure this out?"
This was not a conversation that she wanted to have with someone else in the room. Then again, she wasn't entirely sure that this was a conversation she wanted to have at all. Things were going well with them, and she really didn't want to jinx it by moving too fast or hastily.
