Dinah didn't need to be told twice. Once they both had agreed, she started to lead the way. She had promised to explain as they walked, though she was starting to regret that.
All the same, she knew Ollie. He didn't take much on faith and he wouldn't wait long for answers.
At least, her Ollie wouldn't have. This Ollie was an unknown quantity, which made her uneasy.
"There are a lot of parallel Earths," she started to explain. She didn't know if they were aware of this but it was as much a beginning as she could think of.
"This is just one of them. In this world, something happened awhile back to its people. It wiped out most of the population. Those left are living in a few small communities. I'm still not clear on the details of what happened back then and still trying to figure out what's happening now."
She frowned at that. She had hoped for more answers, but they were elusive and she'd come up with quite a few dead ends when trying to investigate.
"I'm pretty sure that I'm not from your world. In my world, Oliver has a beard and I've never met you, Chloe," Dinah gave both of them a strained smile.
There was a lot more different than Oliver's beard in her world, but she'd stick to the simpler facts.
