Mag shifted closer to Carlos as he beckoned, minding his injuries. She reveled in the kiss they shared and when it was done she sniffled, but didn't shed another tear. He made her feel like she had purpose, like she was actually wanted and needed, and she couldn't lose him.
"Being a hero doesn't mean you have to have a cape, Carlos. Being heroic is a term that has many meanings. And I think you qualify. Anyone willing to help someone else is heroic. Even if what they're accomplishing is minor. Even the small things have an impact on someone in a big way."
She leaned her head into his touch as his fingers found her hair and she finally smiled at his words. She was glad he thought about her when he was out fighting, and that he would keep her in mind as incentive to come home. It wasnt like they lived together, so home was more of a relevant term but it meant all the same to her.
"Evey is smart. I don't doubt that she was right." If Mag had to say she admired anyone in this city it was Evey. The woman was usually so strong, and despite seeing her during a period of weakness, Mag still adored her.
"I hope he's alright now, and that all of you can figure out what went wrong." It would be vital information for all of them to know. Perhaps it could help them in the future when anything similar happened. Of course, she remembered when she first arrived that people were acting unlike themselves. She recalled the scene where she met Harry and stood with Carlos on a street corner, as Harry was acting strangely.
Maybe it was normal for people to go crazy here once in a while, but she didn't like it. She wanted things to be calm, but she was only one small person in the grand scheme of things. And she wasnt spectacular like Carlos, or Peter. She could only hope Carlos would be there to protect her, like he had when they first met, and that they would last.
