She shifted slightly, letting her legs slip from the position they were in as her body began to ache from being held in the same spot for too long. She sighed, legs stretched out in the grass before her and waited for a moment before her hand found her weapon.
Her fingers slid around the handle of the gun and Selina picked the weapon up from the grass, holding the gun up to get a better look at it. She took only a moment to admire it, before lowering the hand holding the weapon to her side, using her arms to push herself up into a kneel.
Slowly, she rose and stretched her limbs, before tucking the gun into the waist band of her pants. She hadnt seen anything remotely threatening for some time and wasnt getting the feeling she would need it.
At least until she heard shuffling in the forest.
Tensing instantly, Selina's hands moved to her waist to unravel her bullwhip. She grasped the handle and waited silently, standing in a familiar position in which to handle the weapon to its fullest potential. Her ears picked up the sound of movement which was drawing closer, closer...she didn't know why her body felt so rigid and tense at the sound of the motion but it did.
She had never been one to ignore her instinct. In fact it had been one of those key things in her life that had kept her alive. She wouldn't be as good as she was without that instinct.
Licking her lips, Selina's eyes never left the direction of the motion but she did raise her arm slowly and flicked her wrist. A clap rang out through the air as the whip snapped, the end falling back to the Earth to dangle for a moment.
A warning to any approaching. Not that she wanted to be up against any of those with ill intent or powers beyond her control, but Selina wasnt exactly the type to back down either. She would bide her time and wait to see what approached.
