Mag was aware that normally Evey didn't like a lot of contact, and though she never asked (or cared to out of respect), but somehow the woman just seemed different. Like she was exhausted or out of place, and Mag couldn't help the touch. She was trying to offer assurance, and it was good to see that Evey wasn't in the state to pull away.
Mag canted her head slightly to the side as Evey spoke, listening to her neighbor's tone and words. Neither sounded quite right. She sounded like she was ready to give up, and to be done. Except Mag wasnt sure they'd really ever be done and giving up....it wasnt possible either.
"We all are having a bit of a time. Nothing around here comes easy, unfortunately." Mag said, though she was trying to be encouraging.
"Orange hair? I don't believe so." Mag had been so just rallying children and masking sure people were safe, everyone else tended to be a bit of a blur. She hadnt even seen Carlos since they'd left his apartment after the initial quake. Her running into Evey was both expected and surprising.
"Would you like some help looking for her?" Mag could break away and help if Evey needed her. They could always find some others to help as well.
