Mag knew she wasn't the most useful or skilled person, and that had been proven in most situations she found herself in. But she did what she could, holding the opinion that doing something (even if it was minor) was better than doing nothing at all. And these people needed their help wether they believed it or not.
She understood having pride, she had her own sense of pride and being better once in a while, especially back home. But asking for help was human nature, though most never did. She hadnt. Even when she knew Rotti was determined to sicc the Repo man on her for breaking her contract. She took what came and dealt with it. But these people needed them. Even her, and she couldn't (actually she refused) to stand idly by and let them suffer.
When she heard Evey's voice Mag turned and offered her neighbor a soft smile. "Thank you, Evey." Mag breathed, turning to face her friend completely. There was something about the petite woman that Mag adored. Perhaps it was her determination. Nothing seemed to get Evey down and Mag found that so admirable.
"Carlos is fine. He's trying to help the city born." Mag explained. "I came here to see if I could help." That, and she didn't want to be in Carlos' way or have him worry about her safety. "How can I help?"
