(Evey, Harry, Murphy, Thomas)
Evey also didn't seem to be paying attention to the sky. Harry reached out and grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her back as a fist-sized chunk of rock pulverized the pavement. His left arm was partly extended, and a silvery-blue dome of pure force sprang into existence over their heads. Well, over Harry's head, but wide enough to shield the girl as well.
"Faerie tales," he muttered. "Rains of reptiles. Child-inducing candy. Snow. Now freaking earthquakes."
Mouse was doing a fine job of keeping himself unharmed. The Foo dog had better reflexes. Harry was still looking around for Murphy - she had to have gotten out, right? - and his brother. A vampire Thomas might be, but he could still get hurt in all of this. A hurt and hungry White Court vampire was not someone that needed to be around all the other wounded this disaster was sure to cause.
"Where are you running off to?" he asked, finally looking at Evey. "There's rocks falling. You know what that means, don't you?"
Of course the answer was Everyone dies, but he doubted the RPG joke would be acceptable here.
