"Of course it's dangerous." Kitty wasn't in the mood to sugar coat it. She'd apologize later for her hero-side manner, but at the moment, she had to get the woman out of the building before another tremor ripped through the building. Lockheed was demanding it in his quiet way.
"Okay, okay!" She didn't have to think about it, calling her gift was now second nature. There were times that becoming solid was the hard part, as if the phased state were somehow her natural one. She pulled Evey along with her as she continued through and out of the wall. Kitty wasn't giving the English woman a chance to think too hard about it.
Perhaps a long time ago, she knew the feeling, the pressure of no pressure, and had been scared by it. It was natural for Kitty, but it was unnatural for the world - marking her a mutant. A long time ago, she would have understood the shock of moving through walls; now, it was simply her. Of course, here in this place, she had to be careful of phasing. As of yet, the deadzones hadn't been a problem, and she knew Lockheed would never let her phase near one.
So, she got Evey out of the building with a few steps, now it was all about getting the woman down before she needed to breathe again.
