Carlos winced at that question. He didn't like the idea of Mag being put in the position to try to escape anything that might be strong enough or tricky enough to get past her threshold.
"Depends on the creature," he said.
He stopped what he was doing and took a few steps toward her to pull her into his arms.
"For now, we'll do what we can to keep those things out. I can give you a run down of some of the things in my world and some things you can try to escape them, but I think the key is to do what we can to keep them away from you."
He felt bad for starting down this road, conversation-wise. Most people in his reality were happier not knowing the things that lurked in the shadows. Unfortunately, they didn't have the luxury of ignoring the supernatural here. Not when reminders were everywhere and when the creatures of this world seemed to have a firmer hold on reality.
