Carlos frowned at the open invitation, but let himself in all the same. He found Mag on the couch, stopping just inside the room and looking over at her.
"You know, it's not safe here. You should really lock your door," he chided her. Even so, he couldn't help but smile a little bit at the memory of the last time he'd seen her.
He was already wondering if this place had enough of a threshold for him to hang some wards on. His place didn't feel enough like a home but he'd still managed a few spells that would guard against low level threats. If she'd let him, he'd happily do those for her too.
"Hey Mag," he greeted the woman. "Uh, sorry I haven't been around lately."
He realized that some might get upset at being kissed and then not hearing from a guy for a few days. He hadn't meant for it to be like that, but his life didn't usually allow for him to be the most reliable guy in cases like this. That was sort of why he'd been mostly single, save for a date here and there, for quite a few years before his arrival here.
