Natasha shrugged her indifference. It was more normal for her to have people who didn't understand, so by now she was numb to it. Clint was the closest to someone who could understand her and there was a part of her that was very thankful she had him. Even if she would never admit that out loud. She smiled a little bit at the question.
"I'm on my own side. I'm not sure if I'm good enough or bad enough or neutral enough to fit anything else. I suppose you could say that most of what I do isn't personal but is for money. It's better that way. When you can keep your distance, it's always better."
Emotions clouded things, made one careless. Natasha had done her best to block hers out, but it was always easier on the jobs when her target was no one she knew, and when there was no reason she could see to get emotional over such things. She had her soft spots and it was always more comfortable when those could be avoided.
