Demyx held very still, feeling the cut sting as Xigbar dabbed at it. "But that sucks," he said, sounding tired. "I mean, crap, if I'd let that kid die, how d'you think I'd feel about it when I get my heart back? We can't just go around doing stuff like that all over the place and not expect it to come back and bite us in the ass." He tried not to let his cheeks flush as Xigbar gripped his chin firmly, his eyes slipping shut. "I don't want to get killed, but I don't want to do awful things for no reason, either."
