Plants were such better companions than humans; at least they listened fully to his calls.
With Riku's attention diverted on Namine, it was very easy to let his powers drift for a moment, finding the right subject to call. In his gardens, Marluxia had cultivated and created numerous of plants, each with their own powers and ways of use. The one he was calling for now was just a tiny bloom, with a flower barely more eye-catching than that of your common garden Daisy, but it was her effect that truly set her apart from the rest.
She sprouted almost unnoticed by Riku's right foot, growing at an accelerated pace, until her greyish-green leaves started to unfurl and with them, her tiny off-white flower. Indeed, nothing eye catching but only a fool would underestimate her. It was her pollen that made her strong. If concentrated enough, it could even bring down a small elephant. Bringing down Riku was almost laughably easy.
Marluxia watched Riku sway on his feet for a moment, reaching for his head, before he stepped in quickly, catching the back of the boy's shirt as he went down. It wouldn't do to have him crack his head open on the ground after all; not when he was still so very useful.
