Shoulders slumped at the drop of a rust topped head like Pinocchio with his strings cut, you know before the magic. She didn't want it this way. Zo didn't want to be the center of attention, performance career aside. It was Amanda the bard wanted to learn about, at least before selfishly throwing the strange tale at her best friend's feet. "It was an accident," the sprite sighed lifting troubled hazel eyes to meet blues intense enough to make her flinch. A hard swallow cleared the nervousness and guilt for worrying her best friend.
At this point full disclosure was a must. "She was cutting vegetables and I surprised her, but that's not the weird part..." Eyebrows squeezed together, lips twitching in rising anxiety. Focused on telling the story right the girl began to lose her grip on gravity floating higher bit by bit. "I could've sworn she got me. Trice freaked out cuz she thought she got me too, but there was nothing there. There was blood on the knife though." Scratching the base of her skull helped soothe the frazzled sprite and organize her scattered thoughts. "She said she couldn't deal and that was it. Even with her gone the questions are still there. And I don't have an answer." Conflict and fear rolled around naked behind eyes that were quickly becoming level with the slayer's. "When I thought of who would love me no matter what I was I ended up here." The quirky, hopeful grin spoke volumes of her trust in Amanda to love and protect her whether the other redhead had answers or not.
