The Empath sank into her seat, hand guiding Kel's to rest atop the smooth surface of the table and her thumb absently stroked the tough girl's soft skin. Pale blue eyes fell closed and with a pained sigh she could feel the same memories from the other night taunting her once more. How was she going to make everything alright? Was she even capable of such a thing? Without realizing it her fingers tightened around the slayer's to gather some fragment of strength. Forcing back the emotion thrashing around inside of her, eyelid drifted open and darkening pupils studied the girl who'd become her world. A touch of weakness remained in her voice as she whispered, "everything ok?"
As if on queue the man returned with their drinks and was quick about setting them down along with an assortment of menus. "Please, take your time in deciding. I won't be far," he said politely before excusing himself once more. Never once did she look up at him, only thanking him quietly upon his retreat. Eyes remained trained on the brunette, almost afraid if she looked away the vision would disappear. Reality was such a blur sometimes, it was hard to know anything for sure.
