Emma hadn’t mentioned her work to Kelsey because she didn’t feel it was important. It wasn’t as if she spent all day at the garage. Danny had given her a cell phone which was where all of the work calls transferred to. She set appointments in the book she picked up each morning (before Kelsey woke up) and returned everything by seven in the evening. Or that was how things were suppose to go in the near future. The last few days she’d had to spend a few hours in the garage between 2 and 4:30 pm for training. Simple stuff really. She knew about cars, but the space saving abbreviations for work that needed to be done was wonderful and some of those overly complicated forms had required an explanation. Not to mention she enjoyed spending time with Danny, even if they didn’t know each other very well. He was a sweetie and she hoped one day they could consider each other friends. Returning to the conversation at hand, she gave a nod. “We could um, catch a movie if you want. Or walk around after dinner. Either works for me,” she said with a smile, checking the figures one last time. Confident they were correct, she gathered up all of the paperwork, neatly placed it in a folder and set that on top of the appointment book.
Slipping off the bed onto her feet, her motions paused as she looked over at the brunette, asking curiously, “um, we going somewhere nice or is casual wear ok?” Fancy places weren’t normally Kel’s style but who knew? Better safe than sorry. While she awaited a response, the Empath slipped the book and folder into a back bag which she set at the edge of the bed. “Oh, and, um, anywhere in particular you wanted to go for dinner?”
