Emma knew her lover was on the other side of the door but she decided if the slayer wanted to come in, she would. Eventually. Until then she continued on her weekly report for Danny. They'd arranged a schedule that allowed her to be home in time for dinner and return to work with the finished paperwork before it got too late. She was almost done, jotting down a few more figures to be absolutely sure her calculations were correct. Glancing at the clock, she smiled to herself as the younger woman finally joined her. Only six o'clock. Not bad at all. She could have this to him long before closing. Blue eyes shifted to take in the brunette, her stomach sinking a little. She still hadn't managed to spit out the truth and she wondered if there would ever be a right time for that. Maybe it was the entire reason they were having problems, why they couldn't just sit with each other for an extended period of time and just relax. Swallowing hard, her voice came out surprisingly even and calm, "hey." Listening to the information, she gave a slight nod. Perhaps they needed some time away? 'I hope I don't fuck this up somehow.'
Her eyes widened for a second as she remembered the report, waving a hand at it before she spoke, "sure, um, as long as you don't mind me stopping by my friend's place to drop off these papers first. He kinda needs them before it gets too late."
