“Oh yea, having blood streaming down my arm is a normal thing. It always happens around this time of day.” Willow rolled her eyes and than noticed exactly how much blood there was, than she realized how stupid her question really was. She gave her an apologetic smile and moved forward, “Oh, I, um…If you know how to, I, uh… guess.” Willow nodded and looked around the room, she saw the first aid kit across the room. This kit was a lot different than your average run of the mill, a lot bigger with a lot more supplies. Probably because the slayers were always getting into trouble one way or another.
“Sorry I was kind of—well dazed. And patching up wounds is apart of The Scoobie life.” Willow didn’t want Kelsey to lash out at her, afraid that if she suddenly reached out her hand the girl would snap in reflex. So she motioned to the bench and than walked to the wall to get the first aid kit. Walking back to where Kelsey was she sat down next to her and took out the small tweezers from the kit and cleaned them with hot water. “I’m going to pick out the smaller pieces before the bigger ones, hold still.” Quickly and almost doctor like she carefully picked out the smaller shards of wood, she couldn’t stop the bleeding until the wood was out of her arm. When that was done she helped Kelsey with the bigger pieces and than applied the pressure needed to seize the bleeding.
“Arm feeling a little better?” Willow dipped a clean towel into the hot water and started to clean the blood off her arm. “The wound isn’t bad, probably looked a lot worse because you were all worked up from training. The faster your heart the more blood pumping around.” She took a closer look at the wound and noticed it would probably need some stitching. “Does look a little deeper than a normal, probably need about six stitches.” Smiling she pulled out a sewing needle and thread from the kit, “Do you want me to numb your arm or just go for it?” there was a smirk on her face, but not a full out smile. She wasn’t sure if Kelsey would try to be brave and try it without a numbing agent?
